Assumption
The write assumes that plastic surgery is no longer for the people who no longer look young, but also for the people who wants to look good even at the age of 13. Mostly for the people who mind a lot about their looks. They are willing to spend thousands of dollars just to make themselves looks better. Some may say that they are not vain, but the basic purpose of plastic surgery is to make themselves look better.
Consequences
Plastic surgery may seem harmless when your surgeon is very skilled, but your surgeon is human too. And all humans make mistakes. Some may be unsatisfied with the way their operation was done, but they can do nothing about it. Like the example in the article: A plastic surgeon was sued after his clinic took pictures of a 17-year-old patient without her underwear on. However, the surgeon said that he was only taking pictures as the teenager was getting a scar on her thigh removed, and the pictures were necessary to compare pre and post-condition of the area.
Purpose
The writer wrote this to tell us that we are not born perfect and we should always be happy with the way we look, and also about the increasing amount of teenagers that are going for plastic surgery just to make themselves look better. The purpose is also to remind the parents to not be too supportive of their child in plastic surgery because although plastic surgery may look safe, but it is actually bringing you unnecessary medical risk if the operation does not go as planned.
Point of View
This article is written in 2 point of views. One is the teenagers who want to take plastic surgery and those who supports plastic surgery. The other is people who do not support plastic surgery. The writer supports more of the people who do not support plastic surgery. The reason being that plastic surgery is both expensive and troublesome if it does not turn out the way you want it to.
